Creating proposal templates allows you to standardize your proposal structure and ensure consistency across all bids. Templates are especially useful for organizations that respond to similar types of tenders regularly.
Steps
- Go to Templates > New Template.
- Add sections and default content. Start with the standard sections such as Executive Summary, Company Overview, Technical Approach, and Pricing. Add default content for each section that can be customized for each tender.
- Save template. Give your template a descriptive name and save it to the template library.
Template best practices
- Start with a clear structure. Define the sections, their order, and any subsections.
- Include placeholder text for each section. This guides the user on what to write and ensures consistency.
- Use conditional sections. Some tenders may require additional sections such as Health and Safety or Environmental Impact. Make these optional in your template.
- Version your templates. As your business evolves, update your templates to reflect new services, case studies, and best practices.
- Share templates with your team. Ensure that all team members use the same templates for consistency.
